Urgent: Integration of the EU Soil protection Dire - 2007/03/14 22:10
Dear SEDNET members,
In my previous message of Feb. 20 I informed you on the opportunity we have to implement the EU Directive on Soil protection with the sediment issues through amendements to the text. It is important to try to join our efforts for a better result. In this moment, the most important thing is to share information among us about "who is doing what". To help the negotiators (see my message of feb. 20 to know more) to coordinate their efforts it is important to know what are the countries that intend to submit sediment-related amendments and the nature of the amendments. I suggest to use this "newflashs" service of SedNet to spread information on the amendments that your country is going to submit to the EU negotiator panel. If you like to see the sediment issue in the directive your effort is needed in your country. We are the only people which can do this job!!!
