We would like to let you know that planning is underway for the Fifth International Conference on Remediation of Contaminated Sediments which will be held in Jacksonville, Florida, February 2-5, 2009. In anticipation of continued growth in attendance, program, and exhibits, the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Hotel has been selected as the site for the 2009 Conference. This beautiful hotel, located in the city center along the St. Johns River, will provide excellent space for all Conference events. The program will cover innovative approaches related to contaminated sediment characterization, assessment, and monitoring; processes and modeling; management and policy; and remediation and restoration.

Abstracts are due June 30, 2008. The Web site and the brochure describe in more detail the anticipated scope of the program and provide procedures for preparing and submitting abstracts and short course proposals, as well as general information about the schedule and exhibits, and registration.
